Hello from your Lake Jennings! This weekend's action was almost all trout. Besides the usual spots, trolling took an up tick between boat dock and the fishing float. Bass bit for a few that concentrated on drop-shotting 4" to 6" cinnamon blue vein worms in 20 ft. of water. Cats were a little more difficult than last weekend. Most anglers are fishing too deep and not near the brush.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Cove, fishing float and Half Moon Cove.

Best Trout Bait: Rainbow Power Bait or inflated crawlers fished with a water float.

Best Trout Lures: Orange #5 Rapalas.

Best Catfish Spots: Hermit Cove and the cormorant trees.

Best Catfish Lures/Bait: Bring mackerel, and fish shallow.

Best Bass Spots: Close to shore on the points.

Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crawdads, jigs, lizards and swim baits.

Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 1 hour were reported.

Prognosis: This is always a good time to catch trout. The trick is to ask us when you get here. This is also true for bass and cats. We know where you are most likely to find them. Current water temperature: 69 degrees.

Current Schedule: We'll be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. ??? 7:30 p.m.

Save The Date: This year's "Kids Fish Free" event will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007. The event will include a free BBQ and prizes for the best kids fish story! Click here for a printable flyer.

COMING SOON! It's time to get ready for Night Fishing season! Lake Jennings is open late starting June 1st.

Eagle Point has lost some of its luster as the trout have moved around the corner to Eagle Cove. The bass got tougher as we move faster into post spawn. The up and coming bite is catfish. They are being found shallower in the trees. Best Trout Spots: ...... Read More

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout bite remains site specific and in those spots is very good. There is a glimmer of a trolling bite but it takes a day of trolling to scratch a limit. The bass spawn is just about over. There is a Bass Assassin / crankbait bite on the guardian males all along the shore. Lots of small cats being taken all over the lake wherever there is brush or rocks. Best trout spots: Eagle Point...... Read More
