Hello from your Lake Jennings! The trout have started moving around and for the first time this season were caught at the fishing float. Half Moon continues to provide good action. Eagle Point has lost some of its luster as the trout have moved around the corner to Eagle Cove. The bass got tougher as we move faster into post spawn. The up and coming bite is catfish. They are being found shallower in the trees.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Cove, fishing float and Half Moon Cove.

Best Trout Bait: Rainbow Power Bait or inflated crawlers fished with a water float.

Best Trout Lures: Fire tiger Rapalas.

Best Catfish Spots: Hermit Cove and the cormorant trees.

Best Catfish Lures/Bait: Bring mackerel, and fish shallow.

Best Bass Spots: Close to shore on the points.

Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crawdads, jigs, lizards and swim baits.

Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 1 hour were reported.

Prognosis: Cool weather and good inventory should keep the trout bite good for three weeks or so. Guardian males will provide most of the bass action as the females back off into deeper water. Current water temperature is 69 degrees.

Current Schedule: We'll be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. ??? 7:30 p.m.

The bass spawn is just about over. There is a Bass Assassin / crankbait bite on the guardian males all along the shore. Lots of small cats being taken all over the lake wherever there is brush or rocks. Best trout spots: Eagle Point...... Read More
