Hello from your Lake Jennings! We are open Thanksgiving Day. The bite is so good even blind raccoons are catching fish. The hottest bite is the cats. Fish the buoy line with mackerel or night crawlers and it is almost guaranteed. The trout bite is centered in 3 areas. The best shore spot is the Cactus Patch. Hermit or Shadow Coves from a boat are producing the most trout limits. Bass are being taken right off the bank with Ikas and Senko's but you need to fish from a boat and drag your plastic off the bank into the water. If you don't hit the bank you are casting behind the bass. The other bass strategy is to fish the points in 40 ft. again with Ikas or Carolina rigging reapers.

Best Trout Spots: Shadow cove and the Cactus Patch.

Best Trout Lures/Bait: Chartreuse Power Bait and Gulp.

Best Catfish Spots: The buoy lines and the middle of Eagle Cove.

Best Catfish Lures/Bait: Bring shrimp and night crawlers. Fish deep.

Best Bass Spots: 40 ft. of water off the points.

Best Bass Lures/Bait: Ikas, crawdads and split-shotted reapers.

Notables:30 minute limit: Fri., Carl Passiglia, San Diego, 5 trout, largest @ 2-0, inflated crawler, Shadow Cove.

Water Temperature: 67 degrees.

Prognosis: Building high pressure may slow the bite, but it depends on how strong the Santa Ana winds are. If it is light, fishin' will be alright!! We will stock 1,200 lbs of Mt. Lassen's finest trout on November 20th.
