Hello from your Lake Jennings! The really hot bite is the cats. Just drop your bait to the bottom at the buoy line or Eagle Cove and you are bit. The trout are being caught from shore at Cactus Patch and from a boat in Shadow Cove on silver Kastmasters, chartreuse Power Bait and Gulp. The bass are still hiding, probably full of trout. The few that have been caught are on crawdads and jigs in 40 ft.

Best Trout Spots: Shadow cove and the Cactus Patch.

Best Trout Lures/Bait: Chartreuse Power Bait and Gulp.

Best Catfish Spots: The buoy lines and the middle of Eagle Cove.

Best Catfish Lures/Bait: Bring shrimp and night crawlers. Fish deep.

Best Bass Spots: 40 ft. of water off the points.

Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crawdads and split-shotted reapers

Notables: Sun., Steven Summers, Vista, 6-1 channel cat, buoy line, mackerel.

Water Temperature: 67 degrees.

Prognosis: We will stock 1,200 lbs of Mt Lassen's finest trout on November 16th, but I would concentrate on the best cat bite of the season.

Current Schedule: We'll be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:45 a.m. ??? 5:15 p.m.

Hello from your Lake Jennings! The trout finally decided to cooperate but the really hot bite is the cats. Just drop your bait to the bottom at the buoy line or Eagle Point and you are bit. Hello from your Lake Jennings! The water temp is down to 68 degrees and we actually had some trout caught by trollers. Small Rapalas worked the best and as a bonus produced some small bass. They did not want bait. Most of the bass came from 30 ft. of water. A few fish came from the bank and the surface but were notably small. Cats continue to cruise the buoy line but it is only fair.
