Hello from your Lake Jennings! This weekend our catching went into the proverbial porcelain fixture. A few cats were caught in the little bit of muddy runoff water. The limited number of trout caught came to trolled night crawlers and Hermit Cove buoy line baiters in the afternoon. The bass had their mouths shut with super glue.
Best Trout Spots: Hermit Cove buoy line and the Cactus Patch.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Inflated crawlers, Chartreuse Power Bait and Gulp.
Best Catfish Spots: The buoy lines and the middle of Eagle Cove.
Best Catfish Lures/Bait: Bring shrimp and night crawlers. Fish deep.
Best Bass Spots:40 ft. of water off the points.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Ikas, crawdads and split-shotted reapers.
Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 30 minutes reported.
Water Temperature: 64 degrees.
Prognosis:The lake is rising at a rate of 6" per day so the moving water will affect how the fish react. Mt. Lassen has 1,200 lbs. of trout headed this way.
Current Schedule: We'll be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:45 a.m. ??? 5:15 p.m.
