Hello from your Lake Jennings!
If you want to catch some nice bass leave your boat at home. I watched two different guys stick a 5' and a 6' beating up the bank in the middle of the day. They prefer that I not pass this info along. (Hint: purple and pink worms) Cat anglers should have gone to a movie. The plant of 1000 lbs of cats on Thursday is still swimming around today! The usual baits in the usual spots produced onesies and twosies if you were lucky.
Best Catfish Spots: The Coves and Bird Trees
Best Catfish Bait: Nightcrawlers and Mackerel
Best Bass Spots: Points in 30' to 50' of water and the riprap bordering the launch ramp and Eagle Point. See GPS for that spot.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Flylined nightcrawlers for the guardian males, Senko's and a dropshot with morning dawn worms
Best Trout Spots: None. A measly few were caught by some scouts on the fishing floats.
Prognosis: I heard someone say about getting on a sport boat, "If it is good I would rather wait until it is slows down because I know that it will be better soon." I think that this might apply for the catfish.
Water Temperature: 75 degrees on surface
