Hello from your Lake Jennings!
Fishing was thru the roof!!!!! Unfortunately catching was stuck in the basement. The anglers that took home fish stopped at Vons on the way home! That is not to say that everyone got skunked. Someone always gets lucky or figures it out.
The reasons catching was soooo poor: The winter solstice just occurred. The moon was full last night. An incoming cold front rolled in. The moon was dark last night. I brought the wrong bait.
Best Catfish Spots: The Coves and Bird Trees
Best Catfish Bait: Nightcrawlers and Mackerel
Best Bass Spots: Points in 30' to 50' of water and the riprap bordering the launch ramp and Eagle Point. See GPS for that spot.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: First Spro frog of the season
Best Trout Spots: None. A measly few were caught by some scouts on the fishing floats. Notables: no fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 30 minutes.
Prognosis: We just shot our fish with tetanus vaccine. Hopefully that will cure the lockjaw!
Water Temperature: 75 degrees on surface

6-4-2013Hello from your Lake Jennings! If you want to catch some nice bass leave your boat at home. I watched two different guys stick a 5' and a 6' beating up the bank in the middle of the day. They prefer that I not pass this info along. (Hint: purple and pink worms) Cat anglers should have gone to a movie. The plant of 1000 lbs of cats on Thursday is still swimming around today! The usual baits in the usual...... Read More

Hello from your Lake Jennings! The bass and cat bite was decent not great. Cats were in the usual spots like the backs of coves and the bird trees. A few of the guardian male bass are along the shore. Some of those are taking surface stuff right at dusk. During the day try the points dropshotting 4 ??" to 6" plastics in 30' to 50' of water.
