Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We had some nice redears in the 1 lb. range fished around the boat dock rockpile.  ? crawler and a light splitshot. Bass are boiling out at the bubbles. Shallow running crankbaits are best. The cats are definitely starting to move away from the shore as dropping water level leaves the cover high and dry. We expect a crawdad bite anytime now. The dropping waterline always gets the bugs moving.

Best Cat Spots: The backs of the coves where there is submerged brush.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Eagle and Sentry Pts. and the Shadow cove buoyline casting towards the dam. backs of the coves with topwater stuff.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Morning Dawn worms.
Water Temp: 80 degrees.

Prognosis: The lake is open every day for the next 2 weeks. If we get enough angles it should allow us to further refine the what and where to pass on to you.

Dropshotting in 30 ft of water is still your best bet. Best Cat Spots: The...... Read More

Boaters caught more cats because they are able to access areas that shore anglers can't. Best Cat Spots: The backs of the coves where there is submerged brush. Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally. Best Bass Spots: Eagle and Sentry Pts. and the Shadow cove...... Read More
