Hello from Your Lake Jennings:
The topwater bass bite disappeared this weekend. Dropshotting morning dawn worms produced fish but you earned everyone of the them. Boaters caught more cats because they are able to access areas that shore anglers can't.

Best Cat Spots: The backs of the coves where there is submerged brush.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Eagle and Sentry Pts. and the Shadow cove buoyline casting towards the dam. backs of the coves with topwater stuff.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Morning Dawn worms.
Water Temp: 79 degrees

Prognosis: The lake is now 79 degrees and it allows the fish to eat more because of their high metabolic rate. Ergo the fishing should improve any day now.

The key is to fish uphill when you feel the weeds you want to pop your dopshot or split shot a reaper. There is also a smattering of topwater fish being caught with frogs, gunfish and buzzbaits. ...... Read More
