Hello from Your Lake Jennings: There is a surface bass bite the first hour and the last hour of daylight. Dropshotting a morning dawn worm about 2 ft. above the sinker is also producing bass. The cat bite was just so so.

Best Cat Spots: The backs of the coves where there is submerged brush.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Eagle and Sentry Pts. and the Shadow cove buoy line casting towards the dam. backs of the coves with topwater stuff.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Morning Dawn worms on the bank and green out deep.
Water Temp: 76 degrees.
Prognosis: If you like topwater it is producing larger bass. Less bass but bigger bass! The lake has pick up a few degrees which should get all the warm water species a little bit hungrier.

The key is to fish uphill when you feel the weeds you want to pop your dopshot or split shot a reaper. There is also a smattering of topwater fish being caught with frogs, gunfish and buzzbaits. ...... Read More

We think it's a little early but we'll take it. The best bet is dropshotting or Texas rigged baits and fishing the weed line. The cat bite slowed down this weekend. A few were pulled out of the brush. Best Trout Spots: None ...... Read More
