Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Again, not much has changed. The best bet is still the cats in the backs of coves next to the weed and brush. There has been a decent bass bite from about 7:30 to 9:30. The key is to fish uphill when you feel the weeds you want to pop your dopshot or split shot a reaper. There is also a smattering of topwater fish being caught with frogs, gunfish and buzzbaits.
Best Cat Spots: The backs of the coves where there is submerged brush.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Eagle and Sentry Pts. and the Shadow cove buoyline casting towards the dam. backs of the coves with topwater stuff.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Morning Dawn worms on the bank and green out deep.
Water Temp: 76 degrees.
Notables: Joe Wingerter from Lakeside. Caught 3 Catfish total weight 7.75 lbs. with the largest at 4.5. Caught at Eagle Point using mackerel.
Prognosis: If you like topwater it is producing larger bass. Less bass but bigger bass! The lake has pick up a few degrees which should get all the warm water species a little bit hungrier.

Bass are on the feed at Lake Jennings
Lake JenningsHello from Your Lake Jennings: If this report seems like a Xerox copy of last week's you have a great memory. The bass are starting to eat topwater baits even at night. We think it's a little early but we'll take it. The best bet is dropshotting or Texas rigged baits and fishing the weed line. The cat bite slowed down this weekend. A few were pulled out of the brush. Best Trout Spots: None ...... Read More
