Hello from Your Lake Jennings:
Lots of catfish were caught throughout the entire weekend. Just about every angler fishing for them in just about every location had success with lots of limits. The best places where Bird Trees, Fishing Float and Hermit Cove.

The Bass are still in transition moving off the points but there is starting to be a topwater bite for about an hour after sunset. Speaking of bass, take a minute to watch this video filmed at Lake Jennings:

Redear continue to bite in the back of the coves using wax worms with a small hook. The lake is open until midnight every Fridays and Saturday throughout summer.

Best Trout Spots: Shadow Cove.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Nightcrawlers and Power Bait using a 2' leader.
Best Cat Spots: Bird Trees, Fishing Float and Hermit Cove.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel, Nightcrawlers and Chicken Liver. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Coves and off the points.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Texas rigged Creature Baits, Brush Hogs and Crawdads.
Water Temp: 68 degrees on the surface.

Prognosis: The Catfish bite will continue as they look for spawning grounds. The trout bite has dropped off so don't expect more than one here and one there if your lucky. As warmer days approach the topwater bite will get better. If you plan on camping in the coming months make your reservations soon. Remember you can reserve up to 1 year in advance.
