4,500 lbs of Rainbow Trout Saturday December 10th.
Water temperature:
At surface 68.18 f., 5.48 D.O. @ 10' 68.36 f., 5.35 D.O.
Water level:
Low level, private water craft are currently banned.
Lake Wohlford will remain closed on weekdays until opening day of trout season which is scheduled for December 10th.
In order to protect Wohlford from invasive exotic Quagga mussels, there is still a temporary ban on private water craft and equipment that could have been exposed to mussels. Restricted equipment includes private boats, canoes, kayaks, float tubes, trolling motors, fish finders, anchors and other equipment that contacts the water.
Lake Wohlford is offering $20 all day motorboats to seniors on Tuesdays and to active military on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
Bass can be found near rock piles especially in the morning and late afternoons. Dark colored plastics do particularly well.
Laura Urbalejo of Oceanside weighed in a 4.15# catfish caught at Twin Peaks on cut mackerel. The south shore has been the place for catfish this month and cut mackerel or chicken liver works well. For a doughbait recipe that works for both catfish and carp stop by the ranger station.
