Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We started dropping the lake level again and like years past larger bass showed up at the bank. Ika's, deadsticked morning dawn worms, and Senkos brought home the bacon for those targeting the bank. Last week's d/s in deep water made for empty livewells this week. However the bite is over by 9 AM. Cats still being caught at the buoyline

Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and Hermit Cove buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackeral and night crawlers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots: Target the bank, fish downhill with creature type baits.
Best Bass Lures /bait: . Ika's, deadsticked morning dawn worms, and Senkos

Water Temp. 79 degrees on surface.

Notables: Fri., Mike Franklin, El Cajon, 5-12 largemouth, Senko, Hermit buoyline. Sun., Dan Heiser, El Cajon, 3-12 bass, Sentry Point, morning dawn worm.

Prognosis: The lake will start dropping even faster which will further displace small fish and crawdads. So concentrate on the bank. We are bringing back our twilight boat rentals. Motorboats are $ 20.00 for the last 3 hours that we are open. So you can get a boat at 4 PM for $ 20.00. We are only 3 weeks away from the start of our trout season. Mt Lassen has developed a new strain of rainbow trout that they are calling the "Sierra Bow".
