Bass Bite Remains Good

Greetings from Lake Murray. In the dead of Summer the fish are heading for cover so you want to follow the sun and move deep between 8am and 5pm.

The bass bite remains good with most coming in around 2 pounds. The hot ticket remains the purple robo worm with the drop shot as well as any of the live worms with the nightcrawler most effective. You can try the jigs and cranks as the evening starts to set, skimming the tops for boilers. Bluegill and crappie have also been good with a few anglers bagging up to 10 fish.

The catfish bite improved this week as well. Good luck fishing this week.
