Some Bigger Catfish Being Caught This Week

Greetings from Lake Murray. As we leave August and move into September the temperature is beginning to drop which is good just for the sake of comfort. There have been some bigger catfish caught this week out deep by the dam. Cut mackerel was working well there. Bluegill around the dock near the tulles has been good. Night crawlers and meal worms are working there. The bass bite has slowed some. You definitely need to get out early these days if you’re going to have any luck. Have a great week.

Bass fishing has been good in the early morning and GREAT in the afternoons, around at the last 3 hours before sunset. Anglers seem to be doing the best by working a baitfish imitation lure just over the tops of the growing grass in the water.
