CATFISH BITE:
Catfish continue to be on the chew! Many limits were takin this past week and one in the double digits! Anglers have been reporting that the bite is best in the evening hours and late into the night on Friday and Saturdays, when night fishing is available. Soaking cut Mackerel and dip baits continue to produce numbers. If you or a friend are new to fishing, then this is a great time to catch some fish! If you want to enhance your fishing experience, please stop by our Bait and Tackle Shop for all your fishing needs.
BASS BITE:
The Bass fishing continues to be stellar. Bass have been reported hitting reaction baits, such as: sammys, jerk-baits, and shallow diving crankbaits. Drop-shotting plastic worms in 10 to 20 feet of water has been red-hot! Morning Dawn, Aarons Magic and Orange Crusher are the go to colors when drop-shotting.
TROUT AND PANFISH:
No Trout caught this past week, but target the T-dock if you are in search of late season Trout.
Bluegill are biting on Redworms and Waxworms. Target the coves.
CATCHES OF THE WEEK:
Cooper Maio from El Cajon was soaking Mackerel near the T-dock, when he caught a 25 pound Catfish! Expect more trophy sized Catfish to be caught with our upcoming stockings. Congratulations Cooper!
Sam, Andy, and youngster AJ from La Mesa landed eleven fish. They caught 5 Catfish with the largest weighing 4 lb. 8 oz. and 6 Bluegill with the largest topping out at 1 lb. 4 oz. All fish were caught in Hermit Cove.

Best Trout Spots:(Deep Waters) Buoy Line, Cactus Patch, Half Moon Cove.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Nightcrawlers, PowerBait, PowerWorms & Mini Jigs Best Bass Spots: Half Moon Cove, Shadow Cove, Sentry Cove.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Creature baits, drop-shot, reaction baits, crawdads & swimbaits
Best Catfish Spots: Deeper waters Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel, Chicken Liver, & Dough Bait
Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Mealworms & Nightcrawlers
