CATFISH BITE
Another great week of Catfishing, with several limits caught and many trophy cats in the bag! A great ending to being open everyday in July. We have reverted back to our normal operating hours: Friday and Saturday open 6 A.M. to Midnight and Sunday 6 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. We are open for fishing from the Campground shoreline Monday thru Thursday. We are anticipating another stocking of trophy sized catfish next week. Cats are bitting on cut Mackerel, Nightcrawlers, and Stink bait.
BASS BITE
The Bass bite remains good, with several bass being taken on drop shot. Anglers have reported bass patrolling the shoreline in search of an easy meal. The water level is slowly dropping, which is pushing bass into different structure. Target the rock piles that are now in 10 to 15 feet of water. Tossing drop shot, Carolina rig, or Texas rig, is a surefire way to put Bass in the boat.
TROUT AND PANFISH
No Trout caught this past week, but target the T-dock.
Bluegill are biting all over the lake. Bait of choice Redworms, Mealworms.
CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Paul Rusu and Justin Bishop of San Diego had a great day of fishing. The Bluegill were caught drop-shotting mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers with a #8 hook. The largest Catfish weighed in at 6 lb. 8oz. And was caught in 100 feet of water.
Johnny Behnan of El Cajon landed a solid six pound Bass. Johnny was night fishing, but did not disclose location or method of catch.
