Trout Bite:
The trout fishing was fair this past week. Anglers reported catching trout primarily from the shoreline. Anglers were soaking powerbait and nightcrawlers. We will be stocking 1,200 pounds of Tailwalkers this week. Stop by the Bait and Tackle Shop for up to date fishing techniques and information.

Bass Bite:
The bass bite was fair to good this past week. Anglers have been targeting bass in Half Moon Cove. Pitching plastics and drop shot have been the best method to landing the largemouth. Bass have been seen cruising the shoreline in 5-8 feet of water. Shoreline fishing is available from the campground everyday 7:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Catches of week:
Mike and Cooper Maio of El Cajon landed 8 trout and two bass. The trout stringer consisted of 7 rainbows and 1Lightning. They landed their fish in Eagle Cove soaking nightcrawlers. Pierre of La Mesa landed a nice 8 lb. 12 oz. trout. Pierre was throwing a lure in Half Moon Cove. Christopher Almagner of San Ysidro caught an 8 lb. 12 oz. trout. Christopher was soaking rainbow powerbait in Eagle Cove.

Trout Bite: The trout bite picked back up this past week, with several trout being caught by many lucky anglers. Trout Bite The trout bite was wide open this past week with limits, double-digits, and Lightings being caught. Majority of the trout were caught in 20 to 30 feet of water. The 1,000 pounds of Lightning Trout were stocked this past week, so be on the look out for those neon darting fish. We are anticipating another 1,000 pounds of lightning trout next month.
