Trout Bite:
The trout bite picked back up this past week, with several trout being caught by many lucky anglers. Some double digit trout made an appear- ance, and so did the lightning trout. 2,200 pounds of trout will be stocked for spring break March 27 - April 12, and the lake will be open everyday.


Bass Bite:
The bass fishing is fair to good with several bass anglers leaving happy. The bass continue to hug the shore lines and mid waters. The popular method of catch, is drop shotting tight to cover and on shallow water structures. Stop by the Bait and Tackle shop for great tips and tackle.

Catfish and Panfish:
The bass continue to bite, anglers reported catching them tight to cover. Bass can be seen patrolling the shoreline. Anglers have also been dropshotting the points in about 15--20 feet of water. Stop by the Bait Shop for the latest fishing information.

Catches of week:
Tien Cao of Chula Vista landed a 10 lb. 8 oz. trout. Tien, was soaking power-bait in Sentry Cove. Kevin Bridge of Poway and Jason Casion of El Cajon had five trout for a total of 10 pounds. They were using white power worms. Paolo and Lola Almendariz of Encinitas caught a 2.5 pound lighting trout. The youngsters were soaking nightcrawlers in Siesta Cove. Lamont Fields of San Diego landed a 1 pound redear in Hermit Cove.

Lake Jennings will be hosting a Spring Carnival on April 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. The lake will be open everyday during Spring Break from 6:00 am. to 5:00 p.m. March 27--April 12

Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch, Half Moon Cove, Sentry Point
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Nightcrawlers, PowerBait, PowerWorms & Mini Jigs

Best Bass Spots: Around 5 - 20 feet in depths
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Creature baits, dropshot, crawdads & swimbaits

Best Catfish Spots: Deeper waters
Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel, Chicken Liver, & Dough Bait

Best Panfish Spots: Coves
Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Mealworms & Nightcrawlers

Campgroud Shore:
Shore fishing below the campground is available by purchasing permits at the campground Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. Campground Reservations can be made online at www.lakejennings.org

Trout Bite The trout bite was wide open this past week with limits, double-digits, and Lightings being caught. Majority of the trout were caught in 20 to 30 feet of water.
