Hello from your Lake Jennings!
This week was a sure sign that the Sierra Bow Trout have spread out with trout being caught all around the lake from shore and boat, including trolling. With the cool down and light drizzle the bite went very well. Don't forget that Lake Jennings will be stocking "Tagged Trout" soon with prizes being given out from Lake Jennings and Sponsors. Another change going on in the lake is a Pre-Spawn. This is a result of the lake not reaching low water temperatures. Bass are showing up closer to the shoreline and some females have been seen that are definitely holding eggs. Sign up today at www.LakeJennings.org for the weekly "Fishermen's News."

This week is much like the last one with Anglers realizing that the Sierra Bow trout can be caught in most coves around the lake. Typically the trout fishing gets better in the new year especially as we get into February. The weather has been a bit off this year but the water temperature is staying cool. There will be "Tagged Fish" placed into the lake at the same time there are "Lightning Trout" stocked. Check out the Notables" below especially the Limit...... Read More

The Sierra Bow Trout bite continues to be fair to good though we are starting to see limits, which are common this time of year. We are expecting February to get even better, which is why we are stocking "Tagged Fish" that month. Another good sign is that the anglers are starting to venture out of Hermit's Cove and this is good because the trout are in more than one place in the early morning. Many of you already know that you can...... Read More
