Hello from your Lake Jennings!

To get in on this action you need to be prepared when you arrive to get out on the water. After that the first and last few hours will continue with a bite if you switch up to a drop shot and work your away around the lake. The cat bite is improving with boaters doing better than shore simply because they can access more areas but cats are being caught in all corners of the lake. Red ears continue to be caught in Cloister and Half Moon Coves.

Best Catfish Spots: Hermit, Cloister and Half Moon Coves
Best Catfish Bait: Nightcrawlers and Mackerel
Best Bass Spots: Points in 25' to 30' of water
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Dropshot morning dawn worms
Best Pan Fish Spots: Cloister and Half Moon Coves
Best Pan Fish Bait: Wax Worms and Meal Worms.

Notables: Cooper Maio, Age 10, El Cajon, Catfish 5.3 pounds, Mackerel, Cloister Cove; Dominic Luna, Age 4 (first time fishing), 4 Catfish, Chicken Liver, Half Moon Cove

Prognosis: The bite is expected to improve for all the above as temperatures increase though there was a slight drop in temperature over the last few days. Take note that fish are being caught in common areas which is a result of warmer temps in those areas resulting in increased metabolisms.

The bass fishing was best early morning and after dark and the cat fishing was best after dark. Best Catfish Spots:...... Read More
