Hello from Your Lake Jennings: This weeks cat plant did not do much to ignite the bite. What was interesting is the cats bit well in one spot on Friday but at Saturday's prime spot you couldn't buy a bite on Friday. Go figure! A decent Bass Assassin bite is over by 9 AM and doesn't start up again until 7 PM. One angler scratched 3 bass in the middle of the day trolling leadcore at 22 ft.

Best cat spots: The bouylines and in the middle of Eagle cove

Best cat bait: Bring mackerel and night crawlers. Fish shallow near vegetation.

Best Bass Spots: Dusk on the bank, daytime bass are stacked up in 25 ft. of water on the points.

Best Bass Lures /bait: Shiners.

Water Temp: 77 degrees

Notables: Sat., Amanda Glover, age 10, Lakeside, 6-12 blue cat, nightcrawlers, fishing float. Siesta Cove.

Prognosis: The only fair catfishing this weekend leaves a pretty good inventory to which we all add another 1000 lbs. this week. The water temp inching higher should push the shad and bass closer to the surface.
