Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Those that arrived before the rain on Friday had some luck with both trout and bass. As trout continue to move around your best bet this weekend was Shadow Cove, the south end of the bouyline. Trolling with Rapala's and using a small split shot to keep it down around 15' produced a few trout. No reports of trout being caught from shore. There are lots of bass still spawning on nest and can be seen in about 15-20' of water. Fish a drop shot just outside the beds using colors that imitate Bluegill. No reports on cats.

Best Trout Spots: Shadow Cove and Hermit Cove.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Nightcrawler, Power Bait and Rapala's.
Best Cat Spots: Bouyline and Cloister Cove.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Every 15 ft along the shore.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Drop shot and Jigs.

Water Temp: 62 degrees.

Prognosis: A stocking schedule for cats is coming soon and Night Fishing will start off on May 18th, the week before Memorial Day weekend. Keep posted for a catfish stocking schedule. The trout continue to bite and should be good for a couple more months. The bass are at peak spawn and should be fished every 15' along the shore.
