Hello from Your Lake Jennings: A lot of bass were caught this weekend. However none reported were over 6-8. Bass anglers can be very tight lipped about their reports when they do well. The trout continue to be difficult. Trollers using bait are doing better than bankies. No one bait is working better than another. Lures are marginally effective. The cats are starting to move. They are a bycatch of bass anglers using plastics.
Best Trout Spots: Hermit Cove and Eagle Point.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Nightcrawler, Power Worms, and PB.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove and the buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Every 15 ft along the shore.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Jigs and creature baits.
Water Temp: 62 degrees.
Notables: Fri.,Craig Adolphi, Lakeside,6-4, 5-8 and 3-8 bass,Huddleston swimbait, boatdock
Prognosis: We will stock again on Tuesday with 1000 lbs of Sierra Bows. The trout bite is getting better and the bass spawn is on!
The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching the floating bait method for Sierra Bows trout. ...1 PM next Sunday.

Those fish are almost impossible to see because our transparency is the worst in years. Trollers are doing best in the trout dept.. Bankies are only getting fish at Eagle Point and a couple of spots in Hermit Cove. Best Trout Spots: Hermit...... Read More

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The hot trolling method continues to work: Drag a ? a nightcrawler with a small splitshot as slow as the motor will go for 1 minute, put the motor in neutral and let the crawler fall to the bottom and then repeat, Do this between Cactus Patch and Eagle Point. This produced a lot of limits! Shore anglers are not doing very well. Bass are on the bank!!!!Lots...... Read More
