Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The first wave of bass spawners have hit the bank. The majority are either in the cover or in 15 to 20 ft water. Those fish are almost impossible to see because our transparency is the worst in years. Trollers are doing best in the trout dept.. Bankies are only getting fish at Eagle Point and a couple of spots in Hermit Cove.
Best Trout Spots: Hermit Cove and Eagle Point.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Mightcrawler.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove and the buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Every 15 ft along the shore.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Jigs and creature baits.
Water Temp: 62 degrees.
Prognosis: We will stock again on Thursday with 1000 lbs of Sierra Bows. The trout bite is getting better and the bass spawn is on!
The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching the floating bait method for Sierra Bows trout. ...1 PM next Sunday.
