Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We will be open on Monday Feb. 20th.The troller trout bite is much better. 2 strategies are getting limits. Toplining orange Power Worms with a ball of salmon peach Power Bait or silver Rapalas. Another strategy is to rig a floating bait setup. Troll with the Power worm and Power Bait and stop and go. Trout are hitting this on the drop. Shore fishing is not as good, The fishing float is your best bet. Anglers using a full water float and allowing the bait to slowly fall to the bottom. There is definitely a crawdad bite going on.
Best Trout Spots: Out in the middle of the lake.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Orange Power Worm and salmon peach PowerBait combo dipped in Pautzke nectar.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove and the buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: The west side of Sentry and Eagle Point also the riprap that parallels the launch ramp. Be sure that you are fishing in 40 ft. of water.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Ice jigs and 4" worms on a dropshot.
Water Temp: 60 degrees.
Notables: Sat. Amy Boyd, Lakeside, 3-15 channel cat, chartreuse Power Bait, Bird trees.
Prognosis: We will stock again on Tuesday with 1000 lbs of Sierra Bows. The trout bite is getting better and the bass prespawn is on!
The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching the floating bait method for Sierra Bows trout. ...1 PM next Sunday.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: 2 big trout (for us) showed up on Saturday and we are not sure how they got here. We typically stock only 1 to 2 lbers. These were in the 5 lb. range. Trolling can get you a limit but you will earn it. The best spot for shore anglers is Eagle Cove. Cats are still being caught deep. The top 4 ft. of the lake is 60 degrees and anything below ......
