Hello from Your Lake Jennings: 2 big trout (for us) showed up on Saturday and we are not sure how they got here. We typically stock only 1 to 2 lbers. These were in the 5 lb. range. Trolling can get you a limit but you will earn it. The best spot for shore anglers is Eagle Cove. Cats are still being caught deep. The top 4 ft. of the lake is 60 degrees and anything below 4 ft. is 57 degrees. For you prespawn bassers, I predict we will have fish spawning in mid-February.

Best Trout Spots: Out in the middle of the lake.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Crawler/orange Power Worm combo dipped in Pautzke nectar and salmon peach Power Bait.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove and the buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: West side of Sentry and Eagle Point also the riprap that parallels the launch ramp. Be sure that you are fishing in 40 to 60ft of water.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Creature baits and jigs.
Water Temp: 60 degrees.

Notables: Sat., Tim Marrs, El Cajon, 5-6 rainbow, peach Power Bait, Eagle Cove., Sat., Brian Schiebel, San Diego, 4-7 rainbow, chartruese Power Bait, Eagle Point.

Prognosis: We will stock again on Tuesday with 1000 lbs of Sierra Bows. The trout bite will bust loose this week.

The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching the floating bait method for Sierra Bows trout. ...1 PM next Sunday.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: There is only one way to almost guarantee fish for the fryer; fish for catfish. Cloister Cove was the hotspot this weekend. Trout on the other hand were uncooperative.
