Finally the bass are starting to rear their ugly heads as they drive the shad to the sky. It is a dawn to 9AM bite only! Catfish are also cooperating not on a limit basis but 1 or 2 per angler average.
Best Cat Spots:
Cloister Cove (Bird trees), and Buoyline .
Best Cat Bait:
Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots:
Sentry and Eagle Point.
Best Bass Lures/Bait:
Spoons or topwater stuff at the boils. Dropshotting Arron's Magic or Morning Dawn 7" worms.
Water Temp:
79 degrees on surface
Prognosis:
Fall is one of the best times of the year for both bass and cats and yet until we stock trout you can have almost all the lake to yourself.
