Finally the fishing is improving all across the board. Cats were much more cooperative though it is still in the backs of the coves. Bass are starting to bite at the dam buoyline by casting topwater stuff or spoons into the bubbles. Some nice redears have been showing up on wax worms in Hermit Cove.

Best Cat Spots:
Bird Trees and the edges of any flooded trees particularly in the backs of the coves.

Best Cat Bait:
Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots:
Hermit Cove and they are moving back to the points.

Best Bass Lures/Bait:
Texas rigged creature baits, Bass Assassins'

Water Temp:
79 degrees on the surface

Prognosis:
We will stock 1000 lbs of channel catfish on Thursday. Again concentrate on the backs of the coves. The bite seems to start around 6:30. Since the bass are starting to blowup at the bubble the surface bite should improve in the backs of the coves.
