It was another week of so, so fishing. Cats lead the pack providing most of the action but it was only fair. The best bet continues to be the bird trees. Bass were less cooperative and red ears were even worse. It must be the dog days of Summer.

Best Cat Spots:
Bird Trees and the edges of any flooded trees particularly in the backs of the coves.

Best Cat Bait:
Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots:
Hermit Cove and they are moving back to the points.

Best Bass Lures/Bait:
Texas rigged creature baits, Bass Assassins'.

Water Temp:
76 degrees on the surface

Prognosis:
Eventually everything has got to eat. The trick is having your bait or artificial in the water when they do.
