Hello from your Lake Jennings. The trout bite finally is taking off. Cactus Patch both from shore and a boat provided limits. The quickest limits came to boaters flylining whole crawlers. Trollers are still just taking boat rides. Live baiters are catching bass in the deeper water off the points. Guys throwing plastics are working hard for 1 or 2 bass.
Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Flylined crawlers and salmon peach Power Bait.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove, the buoyline off Eggert Point.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and nightcrawlers.Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Fish the weeds on all the points.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crawdads
Water Temp: 64 degrees on surface.
Notables: No limits under 1 hour or fish over 3 lbs. reported.
