Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We will be open on Memorial Day. Overall there was good action on the bass and cats. Bass bit shiners and the usual drop shot worms. Cats bit well in Hermit Cove. The trout did not bite well except for a few boaters fishing in 30 to 50 ft of water on crawlers. No large fish came in. It was all frying pan size fish.

Best trout spots: Shadow Cove and fishing float.

Best trout bait: Rainbow Power Bait or inflated crawlers fished with a water float.

Best trout lures: None

Best cat spots: Hermit Cove and the cormorant trees.

Best cat bait: Bring mackerel and night crawlers. Fish shallow near vegetation.

Best Bass Spots: Close to shore on the points.

Best Bass Lures /bait: Bass Assassins' and 4" worms.

Water Temp. 71 degrees

Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. reported.

Prognosis: We will be open on Memorial Day. Shiners for bass and mackerel for the cats. Trout action will be spotty.
