In order to protect Wohlford from invasive exotic Quagga mussels, there is still a temporary ban on private water craft and private equipment that could have been exposed to mussels. Restricted equipment now includes private boats, canoes, kayaks, float tubes, trolling motors, fish finders, anchors, and other equipment that contact the water.

Lake Wohlford has transitioned into a new digital age with a new fish scale and so from this point on fish weights will be accurate to the hundredth of a pound and listed as such whenever possible.

The Trout fishing has returned despite a heavy staining from the series of storms that we have been experiencing. The largest Trout to be weighed in during the past week belonged to Charles Carpenter of Escondido and was 7.05 #s. It was caught in Boat Dock Cove using green powerbait. Other notable catches include James Piccirilli's 5.90, Victor Sarabia's 5.70, Matt Mesa's 5.60, John Dewitt's 5#5, Joe Vandersnitti's 5#5, Rod Morris's 4#13, Sue Jakovac's 4.35 and Jerry Goodnight's 4#2. The Trout are being caught primarily on yellow or green powerbait or inflated nightcrawlers. The majority are being pulled out of Willow Cove, Boat Dock Cove, or Senior Shoreline.
