Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Happy New Year everyone!!! Don't forget we will be open every day this week, to try out your new gear, thru January 3rd. We have several good bites going on. The shore anglers are doing well for the trout at Cactus Patch. Trouters in boats are doing very well in Half Moon Cove. Cloister Cove by the boat dock is hot for cats. The bass are absolutely chewing crawdads. Plastics are just fair.

Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch and Half Moon Cove.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: salmon peach Power Bait

Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and Cloister Cove.
Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, mackerel and night crawlers. Use scent liberally

Best Bass Spots: All the points into 20 to 30 ft. of water.
Best Bass Lures /bait: Crawdads, crayfish and mud bugs.

Water Temp: 60 degrees on surface.

Notables: Fri., Dan Heiser, El Cajon, 5 cats largest 4-8, Mackerel, Cloister Cover , 30 minutes

Prognosis: Our 11th trout plant is on schedule for Thurs. December 31st. We will stock 1000lbs. every week for the next 13 weeks. I see no reason why the good trout bite will stop. The best bite is a tossup between the crawdad bite for bass and the deepwater cat bite.
