Hello from Your Lake Jennings! The weekend was a washout but it is hard to hate the rain. Those with rainsuits and rubber boots caught trout, bass and cats. The trolling bite for bass is picking up. Bass are being caught off the points at 4 colors. Trout are also being caught by those same anglers. The shore anglers are doing well for the trout at Cactus Patch. Cats are being in the muddy coves.

Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch, and Shadow Cove.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: salmon peach Power Bait

Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and Hermit Cove.
Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, mackerel and night crawlers. Use scent liberally

Best Bass Spots: Target the steep banks, fish downhill with Morning Dawn or Arron's Magic into 25 ft. of water.
Best Bass Lures /bait: 6" worms

Water Temp: 62 degrees on surface.

Notables: No fish over 3lbs. reported or limits under 1 hour.

Prognosis: Our 9th trout plant is on schedule for Thurs. December 15th . We will stock 1000lbs. every week for the next 15 weeks. I expect that the good trout bite will continue as the lake temperature drops. Don't forget that some of the best catfishing of the year is right now!!!! Just fish deep.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout bite continues to be very good. Bankies are outdoing the boaters. Baiters are outdoing the lure chuckers. The bass bite is better than it should be. They are being caught in 15' to 25' and dropshotting morning dawn or margarita mutilator worms. Lots of 1 to 2 lb. cats being caught at the buoyline. Hello from your Lake Jennings! On Thanksgiving Day a lot of our anglers had a lot to be thankful for. Trout limits were caught all over the lake. Friday wasn't quite as good. Saturday was a washout and Sunday was just ok. Bass followed that pattern with d/s worms on the steep banks in 20 to 30 ft. of water. The cats continue to bite well for those targeting them but you need a boat to fish deep. Best Trout Spots: Cactus...... Read More
