Stocking: Last week 1,500 pounds of rainbows were stocked from Idaho. DFW brought an additional 600 pounds bringing our total stock up to 2,100 pounds last week! The next trout plant will be the week of February 6th.

What's the catch?  With the 2,100 pounds stocked last week, limits were caught in Hermit Cove and Eagle Point. We heard powerbait was reeling in the hungry stock, but a few anglers reported that the trout were biting on spoons as well. Expect the trout to move into deeper waters this weekend as they acclimate to the lake. Try renting a boat or casting from Sentry Point to depths of 50’ or more with 2-4 lb. test. Bass were biting in Half Moon Cove on drop shot and inflated nightcrawlers. The sunfish were biting on the t-dock and in Cloister Cove on pinched pieces of nightcrawler and/or meal worms.

Conditions: The lake is full and the water is well oxygenated throughout the water column with the temperature being 59.7 degrees. Ideal conditions for trout! The sun is rising at 6:45 a.m. and setting at 5:20 p.m. New moon is on February 19th. We expect blue skies at the lake this weekend with temps around 70 degrees.
