Stocking: With contributions from the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the lake was stocked with 2,500 pounds during winter break. Another 1,500 pounds from Wright's Rainbows will go into the lake this week bringing our total stocking this season to 9,500 pounds!

What's the catch? The best time to catch trout is in the morning when they are actively feeding. Look for them near the shore in areas with shelter where they can hide from the bass and birds of prey. They were biting on Hookup Baits in the brown/gold variety last week. Our rangers also recommend using an inflated nightcrawler and sinker to float them up from the bottom. Bass were biting from and around the t-dock and big rock this weekend.  The Bluegill are hanging out in Half Moon Cove. They are biting on  wax worms and a piece of nightcrawler. No reports of catfish bite this weekend.

Fishing Licenses: Licenses for 2023 are on sale now and valid 365 days after date of purchase if purchased after January 1, 2023. The annual fee is $58.58. Fishermen 16 and over are required to have a valid California state fishing license. CLICK HERE to purchase your 2023 license.

Conditions: The water temperature around the boat dock is 63 degrees. The water level is at capacity. The sun is rising at 6:51 a.m. and setting at 4:58 p.m. New moon is on January 21st and the lake will be open until 10:00 p.m. Should be nice and dark  for fishing!
