Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Upfront reminder. We are open every day this week until Easter. 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Every fish in the lake decided to be difficult. The bass on the bank were decidedly noncooperative. The only ones that bit were in 20 to 25 ft. of water. One troller reported 17 bass. The trout were focused on one small area on Eagle Point. All the usual spots for the last month only gave up an occasional trout. A few cats showed up at the bird trees which indicates that they are moving shallow.

Best Trout Spots: Sentry Point , Eagle point and Cactus Patch.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: Inflated crawlers on a 2 ft. leader dipped in scent.

Best Cat Spots: Bird trees.
Best Cat Bait: Night crawlers and mackerel. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots: Every 15 ft. along the shore.
Best Bass Lures /bait: It is jig time using creature baits. Carolina rigged lizards have been very good.

Water Temp. 65 to 67 degrees on surface.

Notables: No fish reported over 3 lbs. or limits under 1 hour.

Prognosis: Mt. Lassen will deliver our last 1000 lbs of trout on Tuesday. We have extended our The bass spawn is full on. The cats are on the move and some are being found in the brush.

The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching bait fishing for trout.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: There continues to be a decent bass bite along the edges in the morning. The key is to drag something ugly off the bank into the water very slowwwwwly. OR skip a jig or tube under the overhanging trees, again very slow retrieve . The deepest that fish have been caught at during the day is 15' to 20' on the points. Some cats are being caught from shore where you can...... Read More
