Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Our first 1000 lbs. of Sierra Bows will be swimming in the lake for Friday's opener. We will open at 6:30 AM. The bass have moved to slightly deeper water and want 5" Senkos in the natural colors. They are in the grass at 15 to 20 ft. of water at dawn and dusk. Cats are still biting well but you have to mine deep water!

Best Trout Spots: None
Best Trout Lures / Bait: None yet but use scent!!!!.

Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and Hermit Cove buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, mackeral and night crawlers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots: Target the bank, fish downhill with creature type baits.
Best Bass Lures /bait: Senkos

Water Temp. 73 degrees on surface.

Notables: Sat., Frank Smith and Jason Walratne, El Cajon teamed up for 9-8 blue cat, mackerel, Sentry Point.

Prognosis: Our first trout plant is on schedule for Thurs. October 22nd . We will stock 1000lbs. every week for the next 24 weeks. Don't let the cool water fool you into thinking that you can't catch cats. There is no better time than right now to fill a limit. We are bringing back our twilight boat rentals. Motorboats are $ 20.00 for the last 3 hours that we are open. So you can get a boat at 3:30 PM for $ 20.00.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: There continues to be a decent bass bite along the edges in the morning. The key is to drag something ugly off the bank into the water very slowwwwwly. OR skip a jig or tube under the overhanging trees, again very slow retrieve . The deepest that fish have been caught at during the day is 15' to 20' on the points. Some cats are being caught from shore where you can...... Read More

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The dropping lake still has the bass on the bank. It is an early bite and is over by 9:30. Creature baits and 11" worms drug off of the bank into the water. It should be fished painfully slow. Cats are still biting if you have a boat and are fishing 50 to 100 ft. deep. Chicken livers have been added to the list of successful baits. ...... Read More
