Catfish Bite:
Catfish are biting! This week we get another 1,000 lbs of catfish! They are bringing in some larger size ones as well. Many fishermen are hitting limits from the T-Dock and the campground shoreline is fairing well too. Remember we are open to fish until midnight Friday & Saturday Nights! Don’t forget your full sized lantern! Bass Bite:
The bass remain really active, with many limits being reported. Half Moon Cove remains the hot spot although an 8 lb Bass was picked up in Cloister Cove!

Trout and Panfish:
Some nice size Redear were caught near the shoreline of Half Moon Cove this past week. One Bluegill reported from Cloister Cove. Trout bite is still good with trout even biting near the shoreline but you will have better luck in deeper water.

Catches of week:
Matt Menzel from El Cajon caught this large catfish this weekend! judie duzzit shared her good luck on Instagram with this nice shot of her catfish limit!

Announcement:
Lake Jennings Catfish Season is in full force with an opening stocking of 2,800 lbs and another 1,000 lbs arriving this week! Shore fishing below the campground is available by buying your permit at the campground daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.!

Tips and tricks:
Best Trout Spots: (Deep Waters) Buoy Line, Cactus Patch, Half Moon Cove.

Lures/Bait: Nightcrawlers, PowerBait, PowerWorms & Mini Jigs

Best Bass Spots: Half Moon Cove, Shadow Cove, Sentry Cove.

Best Bass Lures/Bait: Creature baits, drop-shot, crawdads & swimbaits

Best Catfish Spots:Deeper waters

Best Catfish Bait:Mackerel, Chicken Liver, & Dough Bait

Best Panfish Spots: Coves

Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Mealworms & Nightcrawlers

Trout Bite: The trout bite continues to be fair. Majority of the trout caught were in deep waters. If your trying to target late season trout, try soaking your bait in deeper water. Bass Bite: The bass bite remains solid. Anglers reported bass are hitting soft jerkbaits and plastic worms. Bass are suspended off the points and cruising the shoreline in search of an easy meal. Trout Bite: The trout bite remains good, with lots of trout being caught this past weekend. Fisherman who targeted deep waters were rewarded.
