Trout Bite:
The trout bite remains good, with lots of trout being caught this past weekend. Fisherman who targeted deep waters were rewarded. Those interested in some late season trout,should target deep water zones like the Buoy Line. For up-to-date fishing information visit the Bait and Tackle Shop!


Bass Bite:
The bass bite is good! Majority of anglers reported bass were crushing soft plastics in the shallows. Drop shotting Roboworms is sure to produce a limit of bass. Morning Dawn & Orange Crush, are the colors of choice.

Catches of week:
Robert Burks of San Diego caught a nice 6 lb. 12 oz. trout.. Robert was casting a Panther Martin in Hermit Cove.

Announcement:
Night Fishing Season will begin Friday, May 22! The lake will open that day at 4:00 p.m. for Night Fishing Opener [Fishing during the day available from the campground shoreline starting at 7:30 a.m.]. Join in the fun with Food Trucks and Prizes for the Largest Catfish! Saturday, May 23rd the Catfish Opener FUN will continue with the lake opening at 6:00 a.m. and not closing until midnight!

Sit-In Kayaks are now allowed on the lake! They must not be Sit-onTop kayaks, they have to be 10 feet long, with seating inside for all passengers, not self-bailing and not inflatable.

Best Trout Spots: Buoy Line, Cactus Patch, Half Moon Cove.

Best Trout Lures/Bait: Nightcrawlers, PowerBait, PowerWorms & Mini Jigs

Best Bass Spots: Shallow water structure

Best Bass Lures/Bait:Creature baits, drop-shot, crawdads & swimbaits

Best Catfish Spots: Deeper waters

Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel, Chicken Liver, & Dough Bait

Best Panfish Spots: Coves

Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Mealworms

Trout Bite: The trout fishing was fair this past week. Most were caught in deeper water as the temperature warms up. The buoy line near the tower was the hot spot this weekend. Trout stocking has finished for the season although there are still plenty in the lake to be caught! Bass Bite: The bass bite was awesome this past week. Anglers have been targeting bass primarily in Half Moon Cove. Bass can be seen cruising the shoreline in just a few feet of water.
