Trout bite: This weeks trout fishing was fair. Only a few trout were reported being caught.. With a low pressure system sweeping across the county the trout fishing should improve next week. Lightning trout will be stocked just in time for next weekend. Bass Bite: The bass bite is still holding steady,with majority being caught in 5 - 20feet of water. Several anglers reported catching bass on drop-shot, senkos, creature baits, and jigs. Drop by the Bait and Tackle Shop for the latest techniques and up to date fishing information. Catfish & Panfish: The Redear bite slowed down this past week, with no reports. No catfish reported being caught! Catches of the week: No reports to mention. If you would like to be submitted for "Catch of the Week", please drop by the bait and tackle shop and weigh in your catch. Announcement: 1,000 pounds of Lightning Trout will be planted this week. Turner's Outdoorsman Largest Trout of the Month winner for February is: Luke Simonides with a 13 pound 11 ounce trout. Luke, will be awarded a rod & reel combo from Turner's Outdoorsman. Congratulations Luke! The Largest Trout of the Month and Tagged Trout Contests will continue throughout Trout Season! Prizes are sponsored by Turner's Outdoorsman of El Cajon! Hello from your Lake Jennings! Lake Jennings will be open Monday, February 16th to observe President's Day. Make you reservations soon for the campground since it will fill up.
