Hello from your Lake Jennings!
What a great weekend! The temps were just right, especially after the crazy weather we've had over the past couple of weeks. Several catfish were caught for those targeting them, with the night time being your best bet. Remember, only one weekend left for the Night Fishing season and then it's back to the sunrise to sunset schedule for the lake hours of operation. There will be one more stocking of 1,000 pounds of Channel Catfish this coming week, so come on out and enjoy fishing like no other. Lanterns are required to fish after dark.
The redear and bluegill are still very active, and the bass bite continues to improve, especially if you were using shiners this past weekend. Remember, as long as the water levels keep changing everything will be on the move.
Trout season opener this year will be Saturday, November 15th, 2014. Watch for details on upcoming reports.
Lake Jennings Campground continues to draw in campers from all over, and if you haven't made your reservation yet don't wait too long. If you like to have your camping experience a bit less occupied then come out during the week from Sunday through Thursday. The next Long Term (minimum 30 days) reservations start in October, so make plans soon because we will sell out for the next 6 months.

Lake JenningsHello from your Lake Jennings! As we do our best to cope with September's heat, remember that the evenings cool down, and what better thing to do than fish?
