Hello from your Lake Jennings!
We are now into 2014 and so far the year is starting off great for fishing. The past 2 1/2 weeks of being open every day went very well. Thank you to all those who came out to enjoy Lake Jennings. Starting this Friday the lake Hours of Operation are back to Friday - Sunday and the Open/Close hours have changed as well and are listed below. Trout fishing is still doing well and come February we are stocking "Lightning Trout". Keep watching the Stocking Schedule for when they are arriving and keep reading the Fishermen's News for what prizes will be given out for catching them. Anglers continue to return week after week and new anglers continue to arrive as the word spreads about larger trout at Lake Jennings. The Largemouth Bass are becoming more active with anglers throwing swimbaits. Over the past few weeks 2 bass were pulled out to remove a red ear they couldn't quite swallow but this is a good sign of their appetite. If you would like to stay up to date on what goes on at Lake Jennings you can sign up at www.LakeJennings.org for the weekly Fishermen's News report.
