Hello from your Lake Jennings!
The trout bite has slowed down a bit so we are going to change up the sizes to increase the numbers, but we will continue to stock the larger trout. What hasn't slowed down is the number of anglers, and that's because they know that though you may not catch a limit you can catch a Trophy. Remember it's called fishing not catching. Coming this February we are stocking "Lightning Trout" so keep watching the Stocking Schedule (listed below) for when they are arriving. The Largemouth Bass are becoming more and more present as we move through this season with warm temperatures. The lake profile was done this past week so I will share something to keep in mind. The visibility is at 56 feet so how does this affect fishing? Well, let's start towards the bottom of the food chain with the plankton. It is going to stay out of the direct sunlight (remember visibility is 56 feet) and the rest of the food chain will follow so try fishing deeper. Good Luck!! If you would like to stay up to date on what goes on at Lake Jennings you can sign up at www.LakeJennings.org for the weekly Fishermen's News report.
