Hello from your Lake Jennings!
Lake Jennings has placed its first 1,200 pounds of Wipers into the lake. Plenty of anglers came out but no reports came in on Wipers being caught. Keep in mind that it will take some time for the introduction to settle in. This time of year can be very productive, and for the second week in a row there were Bass, Cats and Red Ears caught from the fishing float using Nightcrawlers.

Thank you to all those who came out in support of Lake Jennings being open the entire month of July for the summer break.

Best Catfish Spots: Hermit, and Cloister Coves
Best Catfish Bait: Just about anything this time of year, Mackerel, Chicken Liver, Dough Bait and Nightcrawlers
Best Bass Spots: Points in 15' to 25' of water
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crankbaits run shallow for early morning and evening top water and throughout the day using a drop shot with colors like Morning Dawn
Best Pan Fish Spots: Cloister and Half Moon Coves
Best Pan Fish Bait: Wax Worms and Meal Worms.

Notables: Daniel Young from Lakeside, 8-5 pound Large Mouth Bass, Fishing Float, Nightcrawler.

Prognosis: With warmer water temps all species will continue to be active. We are expecting a steady interest in the Wipers, and the good weather will continue to draw in picnickers and walkers, so come out early to get a good spot.

Water Temperature: 79 degrees on surface

Note New Hours:
Friday: 5:00 PM to Midnight
Saturday: 5:30 AM to Midnight
Sunday: 5:30 AM to 8:30 PM

Baitshop closes 10:00 PM Friday and Saturday, 7:00 PM Sunday

Full size lantern required for night fishing for both shore and boat anglers including private boats.
