Hello from Your Lake Jennings: I blew it! When I made out the schedule 6 weeks ago I did not realize that Jan. 2 was a holiday so I did not schedule anyone to work so the recreation side will not be open. You will be able to purchase permits for shore fishing on the campground side after 8 AM. Trout fishing was just OK. It was actually better in the afternoon than the morning. Shore anglers continue to be more successful than trollers. The best trolling area was between the buoyline and Sentry Point using crawler orange Power Worm combo. No one fished for cats that I know of.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Point, Sentry Point and the middle of Cactus Patch.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Night crawlers or Rainbow Power Bait dipped in Pautzke nectar.
Best Cat Spots: Sentry Point and the buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: the west side of Sentry and Eagle Point also the riprap that parallels the launch ramp.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Creature baits and 4" morning dawn worms.
Water Temp: 59 degrees.
Prognosis: We will stock again on Tuesday with 1000 lbs of Sierra Bows. The trout have to bust loose soon. When they do don't stay home.!

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout bite continues to improve, including the trolling bite. Last years' special orange Power Worm tipped a a 1" piece of night crawler is starting to kick out limits thought it generally takes all morning. Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout bite improved greatly including a decent trolling bite on orange Power Worms tipped with nightcrawlers. The bass were not. Only 1 angler targeted the cats and he got 3 at the buoyline. Don't forget that were are open every day from Dec. 23rd thru New Year's Day 5:45 AM to 5:15 PM.
