Hello from Your Lake Jennings:

The trout bite toughened for shore anglers. Trollers had the best weekend yet. Trolled nightcrawlers and orange Power Worms tipped with a crawler worked better than the standard lures. The bass were button lipped. The cats still are providing the best bet for a fish fry.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Point, Sentry Point and the concrete steps in Hermit Cove.
Best Trout Bait/Lures: Chartreuse Power Bait dipped in Pautzke nectar.
Best Cat Spots: Sentry Point and the buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: The west side of Sentry and Eagle Point also the riprap that parallels the launch ramp.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Creature baits and 4" morning dawn worms.
Water Temp: 62 degrees.

Prognosis: We will stock again on Tuesday with 1000 lbs of Sierra Bows. The waning moon should help the bite for everything. We will be open every day from December 23rd thru New Year's Day. So you can try out your new gear even on Christmas Day.

Best Trout Bait/Lures: Chartreuse Power Bait dipped in Pautzke nectar. Best Cat Spots: Sentry Point and the buoyline. Best...... Read More

This weekend was the best trout bite so far since we started stocking. The trout are cruising the shoreline no more than 25 ft. off shore and 18" leaders. Hence the bankies did better than the boaters. Trolling continues to be only a boat ride. The bass bite is fair. Mostly dropshotting morning dawn worms or crawdad imitations in 30 ft. of water. Notice the cat catches. I really believe that this is the best time...... Read More
