El Capitan in open on its winter schedule, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are open for both fishing and general boating activiities. Water contact (water-skiing, wakeboarding, jetskiing, towing inflatables) is on Sundays only. Rental boats are available on Saturdays and Sundays only. All persons entering reservoir property must purchase a day use permit.
